The Irrelevant Fedex Cup III

This blog is written mostly tongue in cheek. Some points may be informative. Please provide your feedback.

Hello. Here we go with more Fedex Cup issues.
Because this year is a Ryder Cup year, the PGA Tour decided to have a "break" this week, then the Ryder Cup next week, then the Tour Championship, the final Fedex Cup tournament.
Well, unfortuantely for them, the Tour Championship has become a "break", made irrelevant by Vijay Singh already winning it on points.
The irony is if the Tour Championship was played this week, it would be an ideal tuneup for some of the Ryder Cup participants, and a "break" for those who haven't qualified for the Tour Championship. While I didn't do an exact tally, I believe about half the Ryder Cup participants haven't made it into the Tour Championship field.
Where is the fan interest going to be for the Tour Championship? Avid golf fans will find it anticlimatic after the Ryder Cup. Casual fans are going to be watching football or baseball.
The Fedex Cup is now even more irrelevant than it's ever been, which in a way is almost unbelieveable.

Regards,
Irrelevant
