The Irrelevant Threat

This blog is written mostly tongue in cheek. Some points may be informative. Please provide your feedback.
If you suffer from self-irrelevancy, please seek professional advice.

Hello. Yesterday we celebrated my daughter's 10th birthday at my mom's house. While the kids were playing nicely, I was trying to watch some of the Federer-Nadal final.
My mom is quite set in her ways, as many of us (including me) are. One thing she likes to do is have dinner early. And when she calls you for dinner, you'd better be ready to click your heels!
I didn't respond immediately to her 1st, 2nd or 3rd calls. She told my spouse she was ready to murder me as I was coming to the kitchen.
I said "Please go ahead, and put me out of my misery". That shut my mom up. Why? Because her threat to me was irrelevant. Only a relevant person with something to live for would be distracted by a murder threat. An irrelevant person like me is indifferent to a murder threat.
When making a murder threat, consider the relevancy of the potential victim.

Regards,
Irrelevant
