The Irrelevant Presentation

Hello. I'm on a golf tournament committee. Our tournament is next month.
Part of my duties have been to get auction items. Believe it or not, I concluded golf clubs may be interested in donating to a golf tournament.
My thoughts were not correct in all cases. Some clubs want us to use their venue next year. They've made presentations about why we should come to their place.
These presentations are irrelevant.
Why? Because prior to making the presentation, the clubs should've asked what we wanted to achieve. If they knew, they'd be able to tailor their presentation accordingly.
Instead, they made generic presentations. And failed miserably trying.
Always know what is relevant to your customer before presenting.

Regards,
Irrelevant
