Hello. Yesterday the San Diego Chargers lost a football game. Nothing new here, since this franchise has lost countless games it should've won over its history.
What was new is there was a mistaken whistle blown by the crew chief on what he thought was an incomplete pass, but was really a fumble.
While they did review the play, it was irrelevant. Once the whistle blows, the play's over. The main reason the chief blew the whistle was to make sure the quarterback wasn't injured, as per the rule.
So why review the play at all? The chief knows he blew the play down. What is the replay going to show? That it was really a fumble? Who cares?
Next time, don't waste time making an irrelevant replay review.
