The Irrelevant Brackets

Hello. Well, the brackets for the NCAA basketball tournament (affectionally known as March Madness) were made Sunday. And as usual, there were many complaints about which teams were in, which teams were out and which teams were seeded where.
While I certainly don't have any argument with teams who think they should be in, where a team is seeded is irrelevant. After all, no matter where you're seeded in the event out of the 64 teams, you have to win 6 games. Period. End of story.
Now many teams don't want to face a strong opponent in the first or second round. They argue they should play someone weak. My reaction is, who cares? If you beat a strong opponent early, then you should have a lot of momentum on your side.
Of course, the main reason these teams want to have the easiest path is to get more money and notoriety. I'm sure you get a lot if you are "Cinderella" and beat a strong team.
No matter what, if you're in the tournament, you have a chance to win, and it's all up to you, no matter who you play. Forget the irrelevant brackets and play ball!

Regards,
Irrelevant
