The Irrelevant Pre Game Show

Hello. The Golf Channel has wall-to-wall US Open coverage this week. Many experts, many features, lots of interviews.
It's all irrelevant.
Why? Because it's the US Open. We don't need a report saying the rough's long. Or the greens are fast. Guess what? They've been like that as long as I can remember.
The interviews, especially with the lesser-knowns, can be interesting. But by Saturday most of these guys will be forgotten anyway, because they'll be going home.
And the expert opinions? Try to find one who won't have Tiger as his #1 or #2 pick. I didn't think you could.
So why have an irrelevant show? The relevant reason - money.
